Common questions

I bought Sanctuary Complete on another device and it isn't unlocked here.

Open the You tab and tap Restore purchase. Make sure this device is signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. Family Sharing is enabled for the purchase, so family members can restore it too.

How do I remove the ads?

Sanctuary Complete removes them, along with unlocking every reading plan, the full highlight palette, and the devotional archive. It is a one-time purchase, found in the You tab.

My highlights and notes aren't showing on my other device.

Sync uses your own iCloud. Both devices need to be signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive turned on. Give it a minute after making a change; sync is not instant. The You tab shows whether iCloud is available on the device.

Explain says it is using a simpler explanation.

The full Explain feature and the AI-written devotional use Apple Intelligence, which needs iOS 26 or later on a supported device with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings. On other devices the app uses a built-in plain-language aid and a set of written devotionals instead. Nothing else in the app is affected.

Listen sounds robotic.

The app uses the voices installed on your device. Higher-quality voices can be downloaded in Settings › Accessibility › Spoken Content › Voices › English. The app picks the best one available.

The daily reminder isn't arriving.

Check that notifications are allowed for Sanctuary in Settings › Notifications, and that Focus modes aren't silencing it. The reminder is set from the You tab.

How do I delete my data?

Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device. Data synced to iCloud can be removed from Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage. If you need help, email us.
